Offering seven VTG. emerald green handblown metal-caged stemmed glasses.
Style was popular in the 1960s as mid-century modern decor. Possibly
from Mexico by Fred Schafer although identifying paper labels are missing. Tiny
bubbles visible in each glass . Glasses have a 1 1/4” band of open metal work that
form a ‘cage’ on
the bottom 1/3 of glass body. Handblown glass forms rounded protruding ‘bubble’
through openings in metal bands. Each glass holds approximately 6 ounces.
Some variation in height most likely due to handmade formation- vary from 6 1/2”
to 7 1/4”. Please see all photos. Each glass is in excellent condition with no
damage to glass or metal. Beautiful unusual glasses with a great look and
variety of uses.
