This striking vintage Spanish majolica pottery wall charger features the hand-painted vibrant coat of arms for the historic town of Puente del Arzobispo, Spain. Measuring 12 3/4” wide by 2” tall, this large decorative plate showcases traditional folk-art styling with bold yellow, green, and blue glazes detailing a castle bridge, a rampant lion, heraldic symbols, and flanking trees. The rim is finished in a bright golden-orange glaze, and the reverse is signed by the artisan alongside a handwritten location label where it was originally acquired. It includes a convenient built-in hanging hole on the back rim for seamless display (hanging hardware is not included).

Condition: This vintage pottery charger is in good pre-owned structural condition with vibrant glaze colors but shows visible signs of age and handling as pictured. There are glaze chips or areas of wear along the outer golden-orange rim edge, exposing the pale earthenware clay underneath. The underside shows a rustic, uneven glaze application with standard manufacturing pinholes, light surface scuffs, and minor edge roughness typical of hand-thrown Spanish folk ceramics. In consideration of any purchase it is recommended that the zoom tool be used to thoroughly inspect all the photos. Sold as preowned and as pictured. No box. No COA. Plate stand not included.
