The product is a vintage signed SSS engraved sterling on nickel 1886 Morgan Silver Dollar belt buckle. This handmade piece originates from the United States and embodies a Western Americana culture. The condition is clean, shiny and impressive. The coin does have a scratch on the face, as our photos show, but that is difficult to even notice when the buckle is being worn on a belt. It is not solid sterling silver, but it gives the IDENTICAL appearance of a .925 sterling silver buckle because the heavy layer of bonded engraved sterling on the front is thick, durable and will tarnish over time just like solid sterling silver will. Just polish it lightly once in a while and it will remain gleaming…..as it is now. The buckle measures 3 1/2” x 2 7/8”, fits belts up to 1 1/2” wide and weighs about 4 ounces.
