This handmade in New England is a highly collectible parlor kaleidoscope manufactured by Van Cort Instrument Makers . This piece is a limited edition historic reproduction of the famous 1870’s patented design by Charles G Bush.
Van Cort instruments are celebrated for their museum quality Craftsmanship, and this piece honors that legacy. The scope features a leather barrel accented by polished brass fittings. It sits atop a beautifully turned, solid mahogany tripod pedestal stand. Six brass spokes turn the Kaleidoscope changing into a the vibrant, varied glass pieces into a beautiful geometric show.
The brass was left with the patina look and can be polished to your taste.
Height at highest point is 13 inches, the length is 10 inches. The leather is in good condition with a couple of wear marks - please see pictures.

The original box is included with the kaleidoscope. The box is in fair condition.
