This is a handcrafted fountain pen barrel made ofVerawood, featuring dual dorsal-fin styling.
This timber has a unique property: after several months exposed to air and ambient light, it will develop a green patina. Image 1 and the last five photos show the wood after colour change. The tone varies based on lighting conditions.Avoid direct sunlight; diffused light accelerates the ageing process.
The other photos display the freshly finished blank. Grain patterns and shade differ slightly on each piece, which is natural for solid timber and cannot be perfectly controlled, though the overall appearance stays consistent.
