Vintage 10.5” Hand-Carved Native American-Style Chief Bust – Heavy Solid Wood Folk ArtBeautiful vintage hand-carved wooden bust depicting a Native American-style chief. This is a substantial, 10.5-inch-tall solid wood carving weighing approximately 4 lbs. 9 oz.The carving shows exceptionally fine handwork, including detailed facial features, individual carved eyelash/eye details, long flowing hair, headband, and an elaborate carved necklace/medallion. The craftsmanship and depth of the carving are impressive.The wood appears to be a dense tropical hardwood, possibly teak or another similar hardwood, but I have not had the wood professionally identified, so I am selling it simply as a carved hardwood sculpture.The underside has an old handwritten “$230.00” notation along with additional handwritten markings. The significance of the notation is unknown, but it has been left untouched.Condition: Vintage/used condition with an aged dark-brown finish and natural surface wear. There are scratches, small areas of wear/damage, and a visible crack along the bottom/side of the wood.
