Vintage 1940s-1950s Random Assortment Used/Written in 11 CardsThese are a random assortment of cards that my father or mother received in the 1940s and 1953.They are made by: Wishing Well, A Hallmark Card, A Patches Card, E. Rosen Company, Copr. A.G.C.C. 1949, Made in the U.S.A., and no company name.They were in a scrapbook and the backs are rough from improper removal.The graphics are beautiful with fold-outs, felt, texture, and book-like cards.Notice that there are folded, torn, and rough edges on some of the cards. The Clown Sorry You're Sick card is not used/written in.
Vintage 1957 Graduation Assortment Used/Written in 14 CardsThese are the graduation cards that my father received in 1957.They are made by: Hallmark, Sterling Chicago, Forget-Me-Not, Greetings Inc., Rust Craft, American Greeting Card, The DA Line, Gibson, and Stenley Greetings Inc.They were in a scrapbook and the backs are rough from improper removal.The graphics are beautiful with feathers, glitter, fold-outs, texture as embellishments.
A sweet side note: My mother's father owned and operated the only store in Millerville, MN. My grandpa kept track of the graduation cards sold for my dad (my mom's boyfriend at the time) to make sure he didn't receive doubles of cards. What a different world back then. :)
Vintage 1940s Get Well Soon Assortment Used/Written in 24 CardsThese are the Get Well Soon cards that my father received in the 1940s when he had Scarlet Fever.They are made by: A Barker Card, Forget-Me-Not, Greetings Inc., Made in the U.S.A., A Prize Card, Doehla Fine Arts Card, Harry Doehla Company, Rust Craft, "A Sunshine Card", Klever Kards by Renner-Davis, H.A. Co., Miraculous Medal Greeting Cards, and no company name.They were in a scrapbook and the backs are rough from improper removal.The graphics are beautiful with feathers, fold-outs, and texture as embellishments. Notice the NOT PC card of the boy being carried on a stretcher, even the Nuns were not PC back in the day.The insides of the cards are even nicer than the outsides! Notice that there are folded, torn, and rough edges on some of the cards.
