Beautiful and unusual vintage Scouofferou-style vase featuring tightly woven colorful plastic cord over a substantial glass bottle/vase form.The predominantly turquoise-green body is decorated with colorful woven bird, floral, geometric and character-style motifs. The birds feature wonderful dimensional eye details. An especially striking feature is the elaborate black woven pedestal base with curled/scrolled decorations and bright pink accents.The glass vessel remains inside the woven covering, giving the piece noticeable weight and substance.Measures approximately 11 inches tall.
