The YMCA Rag Program was established in 1914 to help people grow in mind, body, and spirit, with an emphasis on the Judeo-Christian faith. The program was created to allow anyone who would like to focus on accepting and accomplishing personal challenges or goals that help one become the best version of themselves. The Rag Program sees the core values of honesty, caring, respect, responsibility, and faith woven through challenges and goals that participants make.
I am offering vintage 1970s YMCA Rags in 4 colors: green, orange, blue, and silver (the brown one in the photo has already been sold). Each color corresponds to a different set of challenges: green = to grow in mind, body and spirit; orange = to grow in mind, body, spirit and friendship; blue = loyalty to God, country, one's best self and to the raggers' creed; silver = acceptance of or re-dedication to a Christian way of life; and brown = serve God, develop humility, and increase awareness of the needs of others.
These YMCA Rags are great collectibles, and can also be worn for outdoor activities or casual wear.
