Vintage 95”x82” Hand Cross Stitched, Hand Quilted Quilt. Gorgeous 1960s Large For Sale

Vintage cross stitched quilt that measures 95” x 82”. This is definitely the most beautiful large cross stitched quilt I have ever had the privilege of purchasing. This was a private sale in Spring Hill, Florida where I was able to purchase almost all her quilts.

I believe the cross stitching represents blue irises. The flowers are two toned like the most famous irises. And there is green cross stitching to represent the leaves.

This entire quilt is hand quilted in white thread in large, even, perfect stitches! There are straight hand quilted stitched lines in a diagonal 2” apart in the center of the quilt. Then the 4 sides have hand quilting in a crescent or canoe shape. Echoing each line 1.5”- 2” from it. Then each corner has the hand quilting rounding the corner beautifully. The hand quilting is amazing, how perfect the stitches are!

The quilter who designed this quilt, was a master quilter. I got to buy several of her quilts.

It is in very excellent condition. The backing is the same bright white cotton fabric as the front. I don’t think it was ever used. I do not find a single spot ,stain, rip, fray or tear. It weighs 5 pounds, 8 ounces.
