Vintage A.L.S.N. Frank Alsberg 2-Blade Gold-Tone Pen Knife 2.75”
Vintage two-blade A.L.S.N. gentleman’s pen pocketknife measuring approximately 2 3/4 inches closed. The A.L.S.N. tang mark is associated with Frank Alsberg of St. Louis, Missouri, and is documented to approximately 1920–1940.
Features decorative gold-tone metal covers with an attractive geometric wave-and-lattice pattern and a plain center cartouche. The exact cover material is unknown, and no gold-content mark has been found; therefore, the covers are described as gold tone only.
Both blades open and close with good snap. Vintage condition with age-related darkening, oxidation, scratches and wear to the blades. The covers show surface wear, tarnish, finish loss, dents and other marks. Some green residue or discoloration is present; the knife was stored with other vintage knives, so the precise source of this residue is unknown.
