Vintage Adis Greek Mythological Plates 24K Gold Artemis Aphrodite 9.5\" Set of 2This listing is for a matching pair of vintage Greek decorative cabinet plates manufactured by Adis, an artisan ceramic studio. Both plates measure 9.5 inches in diameter and feature hand-painted ancient Greek mythological scenes highlighted with genuine 24-karat gold leaf over a glossy black base. Plate #1 (left): This plate depicts Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, with her bow, hound, and doe.Plate #2 (right): This plate depicts Aphrodite, the goddess of love, alongside a female attendant.
These stunning pieces were produced in Greece during the mid-to-late 20th century. The Adis studio quietly ceased production and dissolved its workshop in the late 1980s to early 1990s, making these plates long discontinued. Both items are in excellent vintage condition with perfect, scratch-free front faces and intact gold rims. Both plates have minor chips on the back near the hang holes (see photos). The authentic gold Adis maker\'s stamps are clearly visible on the backs. Display stands not included.
