Up for purchase is a beautiful piece of mid-century Scandinavian porcelain artistry: a Bing & Grøndahl Covered Serving Tureen in the lovely "Demeter" (Blue Cornflower) pattern.
This classic Danish piece features a minimalist, elegant rounded form adorned with delicate underglaze hand-painted cornflowers in a vibrant cobalt blue, offset by muted grey botanical stems and wheat sprigs. The matching lid is topped with a distinctively ribbed ball finial handle, while the inner rim features a subtle, elegant molded crescent border detail.
Backstamp & Authenticity Details:The underside features the authentic printed green corporate mark featuring the iconic Three Royal Towers of Copenhagen, reading "B&G Kjøbenhavn, Made in Denmark". It is clearly stamped with the pattern/form designation No. 3. Crucially, the logo mark is free from any grinding or scratch lines, confirming that this piece is certified First Quality.
Condition Note:Excellent vintage condition! Free of chips, cracks, structural hairline fractures, or professional restorations. The porcelain casing is bright white, and the glaze remains beautifully smooth and glossy. The underglaze blue and grey detailing is crisp and un-faded.
