Brazos was a well-known Lower Greenville Southwestern restaurant operating at this exact address and phone number by at least 1989/90. Period Dallas Yellow Pages and D Magazine restaurant guides document
D Magazine repeatedly listed Brazos in the early 1990s among Dallas’ Southwestern restaurants, alongside other notable regional dining names of the period.
This example features an especially attractive black-and-red folk-art style design with the Brazos name, birds and floral motifs, plus the slogan:
“mo hotta, mo betta”
The reverse advertises Brazos as an “Award Winning Southwestern Grill” with dinner, weekend lunch/brunch and catering.
