Charming pastoral scene depicting a young girl in a blue plaid dress and white apron affectionately embracing a white lamb. *Please note that the color of the girls dress is a light blue, like periwinkle blue, and not darker blue as pictured. My camera insisted on adjusting the color no matter what lighting conditions I used.*Finished in soft blue, white, tan, green and brown underglaze colors with a glossy porcelain finish.
The underside bears the distinctivescissors factory mark with “HAND PAINTED,” “1859” and “UNDER GLAZE,”associated with Carl Schneiders Erben production from the postwar period.
