Chrome Cobalt Blue Glass Art Deco Sailboat Lamp from the 1930s Machine Age design. It encapsulates the period's fascination with streamlined transportation, industrial materials, and bold nautical themes. The ribbed cobalt was incredibly popular in 1930s glasswork. When illuminated by the interior bulb, the vertical ridges diffuse the light, creating a dramatic glowing column. The base is constructed from chrome-plated metal. The sailboat "yacht lamp" was a hallmark of late 1920s and 1930s home decor, symbolizing leisure, luxury, and modern travel.
It is in excellent used condition. No apparent chips or chracks in the cobalt blue done. No dings to the metal. It is 11 3/4 in tall by 7 1/2 in wide at the base. The cord probably needs to be replaced but it does work! Feel free to ask questions. Happy shopping.
