Condition
Excellent vintage condition and appears to be unused. The pipe openings, individual bowl rests and interior tobacco compartment are exceptionally clean, with no obvious evidence of tobacco or pipe use observed.
There is minor surface and handling wear consistent with decades of storage, including light marks and scratches to the brass-tone plaque. The solid walnut retains a beautiful original-looking finish with excellent color and grain.
The hinged lid opens and closes properly. Original felt underside remains intact along with the original Decatur Industries Inc. DECO and Solid American Walnut labels.
Although the piece appears unused, its complete history is unknown, so it is being described as appears unused rather than guaranteed never used.
