The glass measures approximately 4 inches high and is in excellent condition, with no chips or flea bites and very nice etched Moxie graphics.
Moxie\'s history dates to 1884–1885, when Dr. Augustin Thompson introduced Moxie in Lowell, Massachusetts. Moxie was sold both as a bottled beverage and as syrup for use at soda fountains.
This particular glass appears to date to circa the 1940s. Period Moxie soda-fountain glasses with etched advertising and syrup lines have been documented by a major advertising sale house as c. 1940s, although I have not found documentation establishing an exact manufacturing year for this particular variation.
