A Little Dunlap History
Dunlap was a Sears house-brand line of tools introduced in the late 1930s. Sears registered the Dunlap trademark in 1939, and the brand was used primarily for its economy-level hand tools. Dunlap wrenches were produced by outside American tool manufacturers under contract for Sears, including Lectrolite. The Dunlap brand continued into the early 1960s before Sears discontinued the name in 1963.
The style of these wrenches is consistent with the classic mid-century American Dunlap wrench design, making them a great addition to a vintage tool collection, display, or working toolbox.
