Vintage ESPADON PARAS diving knife, made in France and dating approximately from the late 1950s–1960s era.
This is an early French scuba/diving knife associated with the Espadon-Tarzan line of diving equipment. The knife has a stainless INOX blade and the distinctive yellow-finished cast aluminum handle with large curved guard.
Markings include:
* ESPADON
* INOX
* MADE IN FRANCE
Knife measures approximately 11 inches overall, with approximately a 7-inch blade to the guard.
Condition: Vintage used condition with substantial age and wear. The original yellow handle finish has significant loss and is fragile and actively flaking in places. Exposed aluminum is visible throughout the handle and guard. Blade has scratches, discoloration/spots and other normal age/use wear.
The knife has not been refinished or restored. Because the remaining yellow finish is fragile, no attempt has been made to remove or stabilize it.
No sheath is included. Knife only.
