Emilia Palomba was born in 1929 and her very distinctive Italian pottery style came into prominence in the 1950\'s and 1960\'s. This is a mid-century modern piece showing a Sardinian woman in traditional dress. This sculpture was likely produced after she became famous, as the sticker and pottery stamp \"Illums Bolighus\" was from a luxury department store in Copenhagen, Denmark.
