Hello. Banana here. I have been asked to inventory the bugs.
I would first like the record to reflect that I did not kill these bugs. In fact, several of them appear to have been dead since before anybody currently working at Bando Larry Liquidations had enough sense to be employed here. Which, admittedly, does not narrow things down.
This is a vintage entomology collection featuring a large assortment of real, pinned insect specimens displayed inside a framed case. The collection includes bees, wasps, flies and other assorted winged creatures that I would normally attempt to catch with my mouth and immediately regret.
Many specimens retain their original collection and identification labels. Visible labels include Ohio locations such as Huber Heights, Montgomery County, Wayne Township and Ross County, with dates spanning multiple decades, including specimens dating to the 1960s and others from the 1970s and 1980s.
This appears to have been a genuine educational/reference collection rather than a modern decorative insect display. Specimens vary considerably in size and type, and many retain multiple handwritten or typed data labels.
Condition: This is an older working specimen collection and it shows its age. Some insects have missing or damaged wings, legs or other parts. Labels may be crooked, overlapping, discolored or difficult to read. The interior and case show age, dust and wear. We have intentionally left everything exactly as found rather than attempting to clean, rearrange or “improve” a scientific collection we do not understand.
Please examine all photos carefully for the exact specimens, labels and overall condition.
The entire collection is being sold together in its existing display case.
