Evergleam is the brand from the Aluminum Specialty Company of Manitowoc, Wisconsin — the firm that made America's aluminum Christmas trees. Their revolving stands are the pieces mid-century collectors chase, and this is the musical version rather than the plain electric one. The stand is the classic shallow dish on a rotating base, white with gold splatter, with a centre socket and clamp for the trunk. It turns the tree and plays as it goes. The box is part of the item here. It carries the Evergleam name in green script, the musical-note artwork, and the distributor stamps — Amarillo Wholesale Company, Grant Street, Amarillo Texas, and a hardware dealer in Lubbock. Original cartons for these rarely survive, and collectors care about that.
