Vintage Excel Portable Tube Radio, Model XL-45, manufactured in Nagoya, Japan by Shirasuna Denki Mfg. Co., Ltd. under license with RCA.

Features & Details:

• The radio features a red plastic casing with a clear front-mounted tuning dial, gold \"EXCEL\" lettering across the front speaker grille, and a fully functional retractable carry handle (as pictured).

• Dimensions: Measures approximately 7.25\" L x 5.25\" H x 2\" D.

• The back panel is embossed with \"MADE IN JAPAN\".

  The interior retains its original chassis, internal vacuum tubes, wiring, and a J.I.C. inspection sticker.

• A vintage 1950s-era radio station channel guide is taped to the bottom of the radio (see photo).

Condition Assessment:

• Cosmetically, the radio shows light age-appropriate wear. A few tiny scuff marks & abrasions on the exterior casing;a few small dark scuff marks on the back (see photos). The small white sticker remnant (in photo #4) on top near right corner has been removed. See photos for exact cosmetic condition.

• The radio is untested and is being sold as-is for display, collection, or restoration.
