Made in Norway, the cup proudly features the word \"Bestemor\" (Norwegian for \"Grandmother\") in elegant black script lettering.
Both pieces are beautifully bordered with the traditional \"Hardanger Dancers\" pattern, showcasing rich red, teal blue, and black folk-art scroll work.
Unlike delicate English bone china, this set features Figgjo\'s famous sturdy mid-century ironstone/vitro-porcelain composition, styled with a sleek flat-bottom cup, straight walls, and a clean white interior.
Excellent vintage condition. Completely free of chips, cracks, structural hairline fractures, or heavy crazing. The black \"Bestemor\" script and the Hardanger border graphics are incredibly crisp, glossy, and free of fading. The underside of the saucer features the matching official 1960s Figgjo Flint backstamp, which has a light, faint factory-faded appearance from production. The underside of the cup features a strong 1960s Figgo Flint backstamp.
Handwashing is highly recommended to preserve the vintage graphics over time.
