Acquired from the estate of Navy photographer Robert Carlisle. The image depicts a classic engraved-style portrait of George Washington reproduced on a glass plate. Exact age, origin, and production method are unknown. It may have been used as a photographic, printing, publishing, projection, or display transparency.
The image appears as a positive image when viewed from the front and reversed when viewed from the back. I do not know the age, Please review all photographs carefully and make your own determination regarding age, process, and intended use.
Condition: Vintage used condition. The glass exhibits fingerprints, surface scratches, and other signs of handling and age that may not be fully visible in photographs.
