For sale is a vintage Russian Gzhel porcelain egg cup in the shape of a Rooster. It is 5” tall and 4.5” wide and it is stamped. Gzhel porcelain began early in the 18th century in the clay-rich region not far from Moscow. Traditional Gzhel porcelain is identified by its hand-painted cobalt blue floral motifs on white ceramic. Every piece is made entirely by hand. This egg cup is stunning and it’s in beautiful condition, very clean with no chips or cracks.
