Up for sale is a stunning, 100% authentic pair of vintage Mid-Century Modern hand-painted ceramic art tiles by renowned American ceramicist Harris G. Strong. These striking pieces showcase a beautiful abstract expressionist composition featuring a rich palette of mustard yellow, cream, and bold orange/red accents outlined by heavy, thick, raised dark glazes.Both pieces retain their original factory wood mounting backing boards, complete with the early "Hand Crafted by Harris G. Strong - Bronx 55, N.Y." studio labels and handwritten design code B-36. The Bronx address dates these pieces to early in his career (late 1950s to 1960s) before his studio relocated to Maine.
