This piece is in excellent near-mint condition.
This novelty nodder measure 4 1/2" tall, 3" wide and has a depth of 2 1/2 " without legs.
He is made of bisque/ceramic, is hand-painted, and originates from Japan. The model is # 6673, as stamped on the bottom.
This 1960s novelty piece features a colorful hobo sitting down, enjoying a cigarette and a bottle of beer while checking the "Racing Form" newspaper titled "Everyday a Winner."
He wears a patched black jacket, worn black hat, sports a 5 o'clock shadow, and smokes a cigarette. The patches on the jacket are painted in a white/pink.
The legs show green worn pants and striped socks above his shoes. The front and back of the legs show dirt from storage and use.
The head wobbles back and forth easily, and the legs are also movable while sitting on a shelf.
There are NO chips, cracks, or other damage to the piece. There are a couple skip flaws where paint didn't adhere during painting on one foot.
I have carefully wrapped the entire pice in bubble wrap and surrounded it in packing paper to avoid damage during shipment. See photo
