Beautiful vintage Indian bronze figure depicting a dancer/apsara holding a drum or musical vessel.
This piece appears to be handmade using traditional lost wax casting methods. The underside of the base still retains remnants of the original clay core, which is a notable feature of traditional production.
Executed in a South Indian / Chola style aesthetic with expressive movement, traditional jewelry details, and attractive natural patina.
Exact age is unknown but likely mid-20th century or earlier.
