Vintage Jerry's Restaurants Collection - 1950s to 1980s, 35+ Items, Many Rare For Sale

Jerry's Restaurants was a clone of Big Boy, down to the restaurant's mascot nicknamed the "J-Boy" and the restaurant's signature offering, the "J-Boy" burger instead of the Big Boy burger. Jerry's Restaurants could be found in several states, including Alabama, Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee. I've collected Jerry's Restaurants memorabilia for several years and decided that it's time for someone else to own my collection. I'm selling everything in one lot - these items are not available individually. Many of these are very rare. Here's a list of what's included:

• Paper Placemat Has an illustrated map and info about where Jerry's were located (after all, who saved a paper placemat for 60 years?). Stored rolled. Rare item
• 1966 Menu Full menu used for indoor dining (not carry out) . A Coke cost 15 cents and the J-Boy burger was 60 cents. 2.5 pages (two-page menu with a fold-out flap). Near mint condition
• Glass Carafe Has the J-Boy chef on it. Used for breakfast serving - has an ad for Minute Maid juices on the back. Another rare item. Mint condition
• Ceramic Coffee Mug #1 Generic Jerry's version. Has the Jerry's name on the front and the J-Boy chef on the reverse. Mint condition
• Ceramic Coffee Mug #2 Pictures the J-Boy and the Jerry's name. Also reads "A Paris Tradition Since 1961" (that's Paris, Kentucky, not Paris, France). Probably available from only that one location. Mint condition
• Glass Ashtray #1 Reads "Jerry's Drive In Louisville-Lexington" A very early Jerry's item, it pictures the original mascot, which is a chef with a hamburger body. Several scratches, but no chips.
• Glass Ashtray #2 Reads "Jerry's Drive-In Restaurant Kentucky-Florida-Indiana-Alabama" Also pictures the hamburger-body mascot. Excellent/near mint condition
• Glass Ashtray #3 Newer logo, with the J-boy's head in the center of the graphic. Reads "Jerry's Restaurants." Mint condition
• Glass Ashtray #4 Another newer ashtray, with the full-lenth J-Boy graphic. Mint condition
• Iron-on Cloth Patch Unused
• Wax Condiment Cup Small paper cup, used for ketchup, mustard, relish. The back reads "Jerry's Drive-In Restaurants" so it probably dates back to the 1960s. Mint condition
• Crayon Pack #1 Full-lenth drawing of the J-Boy. Near mint condition
• Crayon Pack #2 Junior Jungle crayons, Has the Jerry's Restaurants logo on the back. Mint/unused
• Crayon Pack #3 Jerridoodles Crayons. Features the smiling boy wearing the chef's hat on the front. Mint/unused
• Hand Puppet About 10.5" tall. Probably lightly used. Tiny rip in lower right corner-no other damage. Light wrinkling throughout
• Litter Bag Shows the J-Boy. Was in near mint condition when I put it into storage, poor condition now. Plastic hardened and cracked over the years. Missing the top left corner. Large rip in the lower right corner. If framed, it would probably display nicely
• Telephone Menu Fancy way of calling this a carryout menu. Dates back to the early 1960s when you could buy a Coke for a dime. Has the address and phone number of the Aberdeen, Ohio restaurant printed inside. Excellent condition
• Birthday Club Certificate Given to kids who signed up for the birthday club in the restaurants. 8,5" X 11". Someone wrote her name on the certificate. Otherwise, near mint condition
• Promotional Booklet Lists all of the Jerry's Restaurants as of the mid 1960s. Good condition, with some wrinkling especially on the lower half of the booklet
• Postcard #1 Outside view of the Jerry's Restaurant in Aberdeen, Ohio. Card is unused and in mint condition
• Postcard #2 Shows the Gentry Inn motel and the Jerry's Restaurant in Jackson, Tennessee. Looks like late 1960s. Card is unused and in mint condition
• Pencil Sharpener Works Mint condition
• Dexterity Game Near mint/mint condition
• Birthday Club Metal Pinback Was probably given to children along the certificate mentioned above. Mint condition
• Plastic Flicker Ring Full lenth view of the J-Boy in one pic, and the Jerry's logo in the other. Mint condition.
• Atlas Rand McNally atlas. Tie-in with Jerry's was probably because the restaurant's slogan was "Favorite among people who are going places." Atlas covers the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Good/very good condition; probably had minimal use
• Plastic Megaphone Dated 1981. 7" tall. Reads "The Winning Combination Teamwork & Excellence". Looks like something that might have been distributed to franchise owners at the 1981 annual convention. Mint condition.
• Football Program with Jerry's Ad Miami University of Oxford, Ohio. Magazine from November 6, 1965. Entire back cover has an ad for the Jerry's in Oxford with the J-Boy dressed as a football player instead of a chef! Excellent condition
• Table Tent Warns diners that they may receive substandard service since their employees have not yet been fully trained. From the 1970s? Here, the caption is "Ahoy Matey" and the J-Boy is pictured as the captain of a small ship. One cute touch is that his chef's hat pops up above the top edge of the table tent.
• Matchbook Cover This one is from the 1950s, and pictures the original restaurant mascot with the hamburger body. No matches. Good condition
• Nine Other matchbooks All from the 1960s and 1970s. Condition varies from very good to mint
