This wonderfully detailed traditional German incense smoker depicts a traveling basket merchant carrying an extraordinary assortment of miniature woven baskets. He wears a red coat and distinctive green hat and carries a large wooden frame loaded with baskets on his back. Additional miniature baskets hang from the vendor’s tray in front, and he holds the traditional wooden smoking pipe in one hand.
