Beautiful Vintage Kutani Japan Signed Porcelain Figurine Salt & Pepper ShakersUp for sale/sale is a wonderful, highly detailed pair of mid-century Japanese Kutani porcelain shakers depicting an elderly peasant couple. Both pieces feature exquisite hand-painted details, subtle color shading, and classic matte/satin glaze work typical of fine Japanese ceramic craftsmanship from the era.Features:

• Authentic & Signed: Both pieces feature the traditional hand-painted red Kutani artist signature (後藤 / Goto) on the unglazed bottom base.
• Complete Hardware: Remarkably, both pieces still retain their original vintage cork stoppers in clean, functional condition.
• Intricate Molding: The male figure features a single shaker hole on the back and holds a small pipe/broom tool. The female figure features a three-hole shaker pattern.

Condition Note (Please Read):
The female shaker is in excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. The male shaker has a visible old repair around his neckline where the head was previously reattached. There is a yellowish-tan color/texture band visible around the back of the neck and hair line where a ceramic compound filler was used to stabilize the break decades ago.
