Vintage Lenox Autumn Soup Tureen Lid Gold Backstamp USA NOS May Co Original Tag For Sale

New old stock covered tureen in Lenox's Autumn pattern, with the newer gold Lenox backstamp and U.S. manufacture mark. The ivory-colored china is decorated with the pattern's central basket of fruit and flowers, blue scrollwork, green vine border, raised enamel details, and gold trim. The fitted lid has a sculpted loop finial, and the body rests on a gold-banded foot.

Approximately 8 1/4 inches wide across the body, excluding the handles, and 8 1/8 inches high with the lid in place. Replacements piece code TUR. Purchased from a May Company store in California and retained unused, with the original store tag still attached. Matching handwritten production marks remain beneath the lid and on the underside of the tureen.
