Vintage Leopoldo de Mexico pottery vase featuring incised geometric decoration against a warm reddish-brown clay body. The interior is finished in a rich glossy green glaze, creating a beautiful contrast with the matte exterior.
Leopoldo de Mexico pottery was produced in Mexico as decorative and tourist-market pottery during the mid-to-late 20th century. Pieces are characteristically inscribed “Leopoldo de Mexico” on the base, as this example is.
