Vintage Lucky Premium Quality Coffee – Drip Grind one-pound metal coffee tin featuring bold red, white, black and gold graphics. Original lid.
This is a particularly nice piece of San Francisco Bay Area advertising history. The back is marked:
“Packed Expressly for Lucky Stores, Inc. – San Leandro, Calif.”
Lucky Stores was a longtime Bay Area grocery chain, making this an appealing collectible for coffee advertising, California memorabilia, grocery-store advertising and vintage kitchen collectors.
The can retains its original metal lid, which is embossed “For Drip or Glass Coffee Makers.” Attractive wraparound graphics with the classic Lucky script logo appearing prominently on both sides.
Condition: Good vintage condition with strong, bright color and very attractive graphics. Shows expected age-related wear, including scratches, scuffs, finish wear around the upper and lower rims, oxidation/rust spotting on the bottom, and wear/discoloration to the lid. There is also residue/wear along the original side seam. No major crushing or severe dents noted. Please review photos closely for exact condition.
A great display piece with a strong Northern California/Bay Area connection and classic mid-century coffee-can graphics.
