Vintage Martell Cordon Argent Cognac Etched Glass Decanter Baccarat For Sale

Beautiful vintage J. & F. Martell Cordon Argent Very Fine Liqueur Cognac glass decanter/bottle featuring elaborate etched floral scrollwork and crest decoration.The original front paper label reads “J. & F. Martell Cordon Argent – Very Fine Liqueur Cognac – Cognac, France – Produce of France.” An additional original label on the foot identifies Park & Tilford Distillers Corporation, New York, N.Y. as the sole U.S. agent.The bottle has an unusual flattened, rounded form with a pedestal foot and extensively etched decoration covering both sides. A decorative crest is incorporated into the etched design on the reverse. Portions of the original neck label also remain.Condition: Vintage pre-owned condition. Glass is intact with no chips or cracks observed. Original paper labels show substantial age-related discoloration, staining, edge wear and paper loss. Neck label is only partially present. There is surface residue, spotting and soiling consistent with age and storage. Bottle has not been aggressively cleaned in order to preserve the surviving original labels.
