Vintage Maude Welch signed Cherokee NC Pottery Indian Brave Head For Sale

Very hard to find Pottery pieces made by Maude Welch (1894-1953) - Cherokee North Carolina. But they are very distinctive when you see the \"mottled tan & smoky black\" coloring. In 1935, a government report officially named her “the most talented potter on the Reservation”.This is inscribed on the bottom, \"Made by Maude Welch Cherokee N.C.\".
