Vintage Musical Jewelry Box Imported by Willitts Exclusive Imports For Sale

This is a vintage musical jewelry box, imported by Willitts Exclusive Imports. It has a beautiful floral tapestry/needlepoint cushioned lid. It was manufactured in Japan in the 1970’s and distributed from headquarters in San Rafael, California. It has a winding turnkey with internal musical hardware. The music box features a classic “S” insignia indicating an internal SANKYO musical movement. They were the Premier producers of Japanese musical gears from this period. The music box works perfectly and plays EVERGREEN:Love Theme From A Star is Born with Barbara Streisand and Kris Kristofferson. There is a flaw in the hinge. It opens and closes but is loose due to one of the hinges is either missing or damaged. I have shown a few closeups of the hinge area in the pictures. Thank you for looking!!!
