incredibly charming and rare vintage 3-piece miniature squirrel family figurine set.
Crafted from delicate bone china or porcelain, this mid-century anthropomorphic set features wonderful hand-painted details typical of high-quality Japanese imports from the 1950s and 1960s (such as Napcoware, Lefton, or Kelvin).
The set includes three whimsical characters:
Mother Squirrel: Seated and wearing a red-spotted outfit, beautifully holding a wicker basket overflowing with red berries/fruit. Measures approx. 1.5 inches.Father/Companion Squirrel: Dressed in a pink polka shirt and Measures approximately 1.5 inches.
Baby Squirrel: crawling in blue denim-style coveralls, featuring a tiny, detailed red ladybug perched on its tail! Measures approx 1 inch.This set is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The glaze remains bright and glossy, and the hand-painted facial features are crisp and clear. Minor, expected shelf wear on the unglazed bottom base rings consistent with age.
