VINTAGE HAND WOVEN BASKET
Wonderful authentic vintage hand made Native American Indian bowl basket measuring about 7-1/2\" wide by 3-1/2\" deep. Featuring straight sides, it is made with rush and coiled wood - guessing Papago or Pima based on the estate at which it was purchased - the gentleman had a huge collection or American Indian made baskets stacked in every corner.Condition is good with no holes, cracks or major damage -- there are a few stains in the interior base and design is such that it is lower on one side (like an accordion), but can be pushed back into shape from the inside edge. I was told basket dates to the 1940s - it is a simple, functional piece with a lovely weave - nice addition to any collection and priced with the minor issue in mind.
