Beautiful vintage Noritake round covered butter dish in the discontinued Bayard pattern, dating to approximately 1933.
This is the complete three-piece set and includes:
• Round decorated base dish
• Removable perforated porcelain strainer insert
• Matching domed lid with gold-accented handle
The pattern features delicate pink and blue floral sprays surrounded by an ornate green-and-gold scroll border with gold trim. The underside bears the green Noritake “M” backstamp and “Made in Japan.”
The removable strainer insert is an important original component that is often missing from surviving examples. This piece can be used as a traditional covered butter server, replacement piece or decorative addition to a vintage Noritake collection.

Good vintage condition overall. The gold decoration shows rubbing and loss, particularly on the lid handle and strainer edge. Additional light surface wear may be present from age and previous use. No chips, cracks or crazing of any kind.
