The piece is carved from white cedar wood and hand-painted with traditional black, red, and light blue pigments. It features a Thunderbird/eagle figure with outstretched wings. It retains its original maple leaf-shaped paper hang tag, reading \"Made by Canadian Indians. Items like this were produced by Ojibwe (Anishinaabe) craftspeople and distributed through companies like the Indian & Eskimo Craft Co. out of New Brunswick during the mid-to-late 20th century.
