Vintage Olive Drab Steel Parts Box 15 Compartment Felt Lined Lid Swing Latches For Sale

Vintage olive drab painted steel parts box with a hinged, green felt lined lid, two swing bail latches on the front, and a folding oval wire handle on top. Inside are 15 fixed compartments in two rows: three larger cells across the back and twelve smaller cells in front. Same construction as the Bell System telephone lineman cases of the period; this one has no maker stencil, just a hand scratched number on the front. Exterior shows scratches, scuffs and surface rust spots at the latch hardware and handle base. Felt liner has crease marks but is intact. Latches work and the lid closes square.
