Vintage PERU Sterling Silver 925 Case - No Lighter Insert - Signed A GARCIA For Sale

I purchased this SignedSterling Silver Case with No Lighter Insert from an online sale over 13 years ago.

It was made in Peru.

The Peruvian Coat of Armsdepict avicuña (which is a relative of a llama), a tree, and a cornucopia.

The engraved scroll work includes leaves and flowers.

On the rear side, it has engraved vertical lines and nice engraved border.

On the bottom of the case is stamped - 925 and A Garcia.

The hinge is in working condition.

I used a silver polishing cloth on both inside and out, but some tarnish remains, especially inside the top portion of the case.

The surface shows plate wear, especially along the side edges.

There is a notch along the side edge on the top portion of the case. Why, I do not know.
