Vintage Plata de Jalisco JFCM 925 Sterling Silver Longhorn Abalone Belt Buckle For Sale

Striking vintage Plata de Jalisco .925 sterling silver belt buckle made in Guadalajara, Mexico.The large rectangular buckle features a dimensional longhorn steer head, ornate engraved decoration, colorful iridescent abalone and shell mosaic inlay, and two faceted red eye stones. The reverse is clearly hallmarked “PLATA DE JALISCO 925 JFCM GUAD. MEX.” and bears a numbered Mexican eagle assay mark.Vintage preowned condition with three complete shell-inlay pieces missing and one additional tiny chipped/missing tip on a fourth shell section. The three larger losses are the white areas visible on the face. The remaining shell displays visible seams, fine cracks and age-related wear. Both red faceted eye stones are present. The sterling silver has surface scratches, scuffs, patina, tarnish, small dings and edge irregularities. Please carefully examine all close-up photographs. Sold as shown and priced accordingly.
