===BADGE HISTORY===
Unique to WWII. Research indicates that Veteran\'s Patrols were volunteers who patrolled sites determined to be essential to the war effort and at risk for sabotage or attack. This was a result of the panic after the attack on Pearl Harbor. It was believed Japanese invasion of the Pacific Coast was likely and Japanese agents and saboteurs were everywhere. When the threat of attack diminished, these officers supplemented regular deputies. This is a relatively large badge; it is numbered \"3151\". The City of Portland and City of Vancouver, Washington, are just a couple of the other area agencies who wore this style of badge in the 1940s. Unmarked but authentic.
