For your consideration is a gorgeous, authentic vintage mid-century lady head vase by Rubens Originals, stamped \"499 X\" on the base. Made in Japan during the 1950s.
Beautifully hand-painted details with vibrant red lips, closed eyes, and long molded eyelashes.
Iconic platinum-blonde hair under a wide-brimmed hat accented with a lavender/purple band and bow, finished with gold trim.
Complete with her original applied faux-pearl necklace and dangling pearl earrings (a rare find, as these are often missing!).
Excellent vintage condition! The delicate edges of the hat brim and bow are perfectly intact. Paint is bright and clean. Features standard, light age-appropriate crazing under the glaze, which is typical for 1950s Japanese ceramics and confirms its authenticity. The interior is clean and ready for display or styling.
Approx. 5.5 to 6 inches tall (standard medium size for this series).
