Vintage hand-made,original Russian Mstera hand-painted papier-machelacquer box. The painting depicts a scene from the Russian tale ofTsar Saltan. It is signed with the village name “Mstera” on thelower left, the title of the work on the top center “Tsar Saltan”and the artist’s signature “Ya. Babin” in the lower right. Thepainting is framed with an intricate gold pattern. The colors arerich and vibrant.

Thebox measures approximately 4 1/8 inches long, 4 1/8 incheswide and 2 inches tall. The box is in excellent vintage conditionwith no chips or cracks.
