Being offered is a vintage SOO Line Railroad collectible clamp clip board. The clipboard is made of metal and has the SOO line logo and Ship Travel written on the bottom. The clipboard does show age related wearing and use. There are surface scuffs, scratches, abrasions, and surface wearing to the paint. The back has a green padding which shows stains, soing, and wearing. The clip portion works well. The clipboard is approx. 8 1/2\" by 4\".I am not sure how to grade something like this sohave taken close-up pics to help assess the item’s condition, what you see iswhat you get.
According to the SOO Line Historical Society, “TheSoo Line was the result of mergers and consolidations of many railroadcompanies. The three principles were theMinneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie, the Wisconsin Central and theDuluth, South Shore and Atlantic. In1985 the Soo Line purchased long time rival the Milwaukee Road and moved muchof its Minneapolis to Chicago traffic to the Milwaukee’s double trackmainline. In 1987, the Soo Line spun offmuch of the original Wisconsin Central, the Minneapolis, Sault Ste. Marie andAtlantic and many former Milwaukee Road Wisconsin branch lines to regionalstart-up Wisconsin Central Ltd. In 1990the Canadian Pacific took full ownership of the Soo Line and in 2001 theCanadian National purchased the regional Wisconsin Central Ltd.”
